Sirius Adds 600,000 Net New Subscribers in Second Quarter 2006

Subscriber Base Increased 158% Versus Year Ago to Over 4.67 Million

NEW YORK, July 6, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) today announced that the company added 600,460 net subscribers during the second quarter of 2006, or 64% above last year's second quarter net subscriber additions of approximately 366,000.

SIRIUS ended the quarter with 4,678,207 subscribers, 158% higher than second quarter 2005 ending subscribers of 1,814,626.
