National, July 14, 2000 -- "1500 Eckington Place" is now home to XM Satellite Radio Inc. (Nasdaq: XMSR). The 150,000-sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility houses the nation's largest end-to-end digital radio complex and corporate office.
XM is building a satellite-direct radio service with as many as 100 channels of music, news, sports, talk, comedy and children's programming, all available coast-to-coast. XM's new Programming Center will contain a network of 82 inter-connected, all digital audio studios. Many will be equipped to broadcast live music performances, including a two-story 2,300-sq. ft. performance studio large enough to accommodate a full orchestra.
