WASHINGTON, March 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio today announced that its 24-hour baseball talk radio channel MLB Home Plate will be available online for the first time, starting March 29 at XM Radio Online (http://listen.xmradio.com), the exclusive home on the Internet for XM's premium content.
MLB Home Plate (XM Channel 175) offers round-the-clock baseball news, commentary, call-in shows, and in-depth interviews with the greats of the game. XM's all-star team of on-air talent on the MLB Home Plate channel includes Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. and fellow major-league veterans Buck Martinez, Rob Dibble, Kevin Kennedy, and Bill Ripken. XM launched the channel on the satellite radio service in 2005.
The MLB Home Plate channel is the latest addition to XM Radio Online, which offers web users more than 80 channels of commercial-free music and XM exclusive programming from Oprah Winfrey, Bob Dylan, Bob Edwards, and Opie and Anthony.
New users of XM Radio Online can sign up for a 14-day free trial at www.xmradio.com/mlb. XM Radio Online is offering an introductory rate of $2.99 a month, a savings of more than 50 percent compared to the standard monthly rate of $7.99. The introductory rate will apply for the first six months of service. Customers can sign up for this introductory rate through May 30.

XM Radio's programming is also available to consumers through a growing number of other platforms.
