NEW YORK – October 27, 2003 – SIRIUS (NASDAQ: SIRI), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium audio entertainment to cars and homes across the country, today announced the launch of a 30-second television commercial depicting Pamela Anderson washing a car. The commercial will debut on Monday Night Football on October 27.
Directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious, The Rat Pack, Triple X), the spot shows Pamela using every curve of her body to render the car spotless. The commercial also highlights SIRIUS' 100% commercial-free music streams and the SIRIUS Audiovox S.R.S., which allows subscribers to easily bring the service from car to home.
So why is Pamela Anderson washing a car? It’s one of the many prizes being offered in the All Access Pam promotion from SIRIUS. In addition to giving subscribers the chance to watch Pamela wash their car, other prizes include a dinner party at football’s big game in Houston next January and an exclusive private party in South Beach, all featuring appearances by Pamela.
In addition, SIRIUS enlisted famed fashion photographer David LaChapelle to shoot a lifesize cutout of Pamela that will appear at retailers this holiday season. Other elements of the marketing campaign include a training video for store personnel and public appearances by Pamela at high-profile events.
“We brought together a team of world-class talents including Rob Cohen and David LaChapelle to create a truly captivating campaign," said Mary Pat Ryan, Executive Vice President of Marketing for SIRIUS. "We are quite confident that Monday Night Football viewers will want a chance to be in that drivers seat, and to get SIRIUS."
Pamela has a multi-tiered relationship with SIRIUS that begins with her weekly talk show, “Club Pam,” which will air live on SIRIUS on Friday’s at 5 pm ET, and will re-air at 6 pm PT the same day.
The SIRIUS Audiovox S.R.S, home and car kits, are available at retail for a total price of only $149 after a mail-in rebate.
