New York, and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan -- January 27, 2004 - SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium sports entertainment to cars and homes across the country, and United Auto Group, Inc., (NYSE:UAG), a FORTUNE 500 automotive specialty retailer, today announced a multi-year agreement to promote SIRIUS satellite radios in cars, trucks and other vehicles sold or leased by United Auto.
Vehicles ordered by United Auto’s 138 franchises across the United States will come with factory-installed, pre-activated SIRIUS radios, where available. These radios will include a sampling of 16 streams of SIRIUS programming for a three-month complimentary period to customers who purchase or lease vehicles.
The five-year agreement also calls for SIRIUS and United Auto to launch extensive joint marketing activities, including direct mailings to UnitedAuto customers, prominent signage and satellite radio service in UAG dealerships.
