CES, LAS VEGAS & NEW YORK – January 8, 2004 – SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium sports programming to cars and homes across the country, announced that SIRIUS OutQ, the nation’s first and only fulltime gay and lesbian radio outlet, will expand its weekday lineup after just eight months on the air. Three of OutQ’s five popular call-in talk shows are expanding from three hours to four hours per day, and an overnight music show will begin airing on January 19th.
"Since its debut on April 15, 2003, OutQ's quick rise in popularity has made us a leading connection to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, and a major stop for top political and entertainment figures," said John McMullen, SIRIUS OutQ Program Director. "OutQ attracts not only GLBT listeners who happen to enjoy our blend of news, talk and entertainment, but also straight listeners intrigued by the original voices not heard anywhere on mainstream radio. Now we're expanding the talk shows our listeners love and adding music for a round-the-clock entertainment experience."
